I was recently honored in being able to pull my first tooth. Normally, this privilege is reserved for my wife (the gentle choice), my brother (the popular choice) or the school nurse (the emergency choice). However, this time, my son, Fischer wanted me to pull it…and it made me feel great. So as not to disappoint and ruin my chance for a repeat request, I was patient, calm, and distracting, and punched him when he wasn’t looking.

While my wife and daughters did not appreciate my tactics, my son was relieved to have a new spot to park his tongue.

  1. Love it. He is getting soooo big. For a minute, I thought he was someone else’s child, because I thought he could not possibly have grown so much ,so fast. He is sooooo cute…love the hair.

Did you seriously punch his tooth…what ever happened to the dental floss attached to the doorknob technique?

  2. No, I did not punch it out. The paper towel wrap and tug method worked fine.

Believe it or not, his nice head of hair comes from my side of the family.

  3. Yo, who’s the good looking guy with hair? You don’t even need teeth when you look that good. Great site. Love the blogs.
