I had a lengthy conversation with a financial adviser today. He was telling me about a family that had put off seeking the advice of an attorney several years ago, at the time of the Dad’s death, so as to save some money. Sadly, this family is now dealing with Mom’s dementia and they wish they had spent the money years ago. By not having an attorney help them administer Dad’s affairs initially, it will likely cost the family 4 times more than what they should have paid.

Losing a family member, like a parent or spouse, is nothing we ever get used to. And it is something we don’t get any practice with, either. Allow an attorney, who works with these matters everyday, to guide and assist you in your times of grief.
